THE BRAIN
The Brain is the most intriguing organ of the human body. It uses about 20% of the total energy and is mostly made of fat. On average, we have 30000 to 50000 thoughts per day. That's quite a lot actually, but surprisingly most of them are negative. In a study on students, it has been estimated that more than 60% of their spontaneous thoughts were negative. The Brain clearly has a negative bias, so why is that? The answer is very simple: the brain has evolved to anticipate danger and pain; hence, it's also more sensitive towards negative stimuli. So next time you are having a negative thought, don't be sad; your Brain is probably trying to save you from your troubles.
